Booking Help

How do I book a consultation?
Click "Book Now" from the homepage or your dashboard. You'll be guided through a short symptom questionnaire, then matched with available dentists. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes. Go to your Patient Dashboard, find the appointment, and click "Reschedule" or "Cancel". You can cancel up to 4 hours before the appointment without any issue. Contact support if you need to make last-minute changes.
What consultation types are available?
We offer online consultations (written response within 24 hours), video calls, phone calls, and in-clinic visits depending on what your dentist offers. You choose your preferred type during booking.
How quickly will I hear back?
Online consultations are typically responded to within 24 hours. Video and phone calls are scheduled at a time you choose. Your dentist will confirm the appointment within a few hours of booking.
Is there a cost to book?
Creating an account and submitting a consultation request is free. Fees, if any, are set by the individual dentist and will be shown clearly before you confirm your booking. Online triage consultations may be free depending on the dentist.

Account & Login

I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Log In" and then "Forgot password". Enter your email and we'll send a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Email verification ensures that your account is secure and that your dentist's responses and prescription notes are delivered to the right person. It's a quick one-click process from the email we send you on sign-up.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your data is stored securely using Firebase and is only accessible to you and the dentist you book with. We never sell or share your personal or health information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Prescriptions & Care Plans

How do I access my prescription?
Go to your Patient Dashboard and click "Prescriptions" in the sidebar. All prescription notes and care plans issued by your dentist will be listed there with full details and download options.
Can I show my prescription at a pharmacy?
Edent.ie prescription notes are issued by registered dentists and are designed to be used at Irish pharmacies. You can download a PDF from your dashboard or share it directly. If a pharmacy has any questions, they can contact the issuing dentist through us.
What if I lose my prescription?
It's always saved to your dashboard. You can log back in at any time and re-download it. Prescriptions are stored securely for the duration of their validity period and archived after expiry.

If you are experiencing severe swelling, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, or severe trauma — do not wait for an online consultation. Please call your nearest emergency dental service or go directly to your local A&E.
